1920 x 1080p, 24 fps, 5.1 Surround Sound, Digital Cinema Package (DCP)

Where is the film available?

The film can be watched only on our website, or by renting it through our cinema platform, eventive, or at upcoming screenings.

Is there any geo-blocking?

No.

Will you be on Netflix, Amazon, or Itunes soon?

No, we have no plans to release on those platforms in the next few years. In the meantime, the only place you’ll be able to view the film is here on our site. We’re using this time to run a grassroots screening campaign so we can directly reach people with chronic pain and the people who care for them.

We hope you’ll consider supporting independent filmmaking and distribution. It’s been a pleasure to deliver the film directly to the people we made it for. This way we get to hear responses and make connections with our audience. You can always reach us at tmhfilm@gmail.com.

What language is the film spoken in?

English.

What languages do you have subtitles for?

English, Spanish, Hebrew, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Dutch, Russian, Hindi, Chinese (traditional), Chinese (simplified), and Arabic. Email us at tmhfilm@gmail.com if you would like to help us add languages.

Do you have Closed Captioning?

Yes.

But how do i watch it?

If you purchase the film or rent the film to stream from home, you will be sent a password-protected link. You access a page on our site where you can stream the film. To enjoy the film, we recommend plugging your computer into a monitor/TV and using headphones or speakers to enjoy the beautiful music by Jonathan Kirkscey.

If you need to view the film on TV without using a computer, we made that possible. First you install the Eventive app on your TV. You can search their catalog for This Might Hurt. Or you can use this link: https://watch.eventive.org/tmh/play/61b395846f1c55007a864473

I want to share the film with a friend. Can I email them my link?

Sharing the link will void your license. If you would like to share the film, you can gift the film, or email your friends encouraging them to get their own copy. Please support independent filmmaking and don’t pirate the film.

Can I share the FILM with my patients and colleagues?

That’s wonderful that you want to do that! We appreciate it. The main way this independent film will go out to the world is through word-of-mouth from people like you.

But please note: your individual license explicitly does not allow sharing your link or hosting screenings without our permission. Sharing will void your license. We will be tracking and revoking the licenses for those who violate the terms.

We are not a company like HBO or Netflix, we are two people who financed a film by going into debt, and we have to bring in revenue to continue distributing it. Please support independent filmmaking and respect these rules.

To share the film, here are your options:

1. You can gift the film.
2. You can recommend people get their own streaming links available on our website.
3. You can sign up to host a community screening.
4. You can purchase an educational streaming license, which allows you to share it with up to 50 patients.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

100% of the proceeds go back into creating low-cost screenings so people from all walks of life can access the film.

We also are making partnerships in the world of integrative medicine, psychotherapy, patient support groups, and more. We are thrilled to do this, but we must pay a staff to do the outreach legwork, which is significant. Thank you for supporting independent filmmaking and distribution.

I WANT TO SCREEN THE FILM FOR MY COLLEAGUES/facebook support group — how do i do that?

That’s great! Please reach out to us about how to screen the film and we have a team of people to help you create a screening. You can reach us easily at tmhfilm@gmail.com.
